It was an overcast day and a perfect day for a road trip. We decided to explore the area up to Hermanus.&nbsp; We drove through the Strand and Gordonsbay.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marius.za.net\/blog\/images\/Gordonsbay.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">After Gordonsbay, it was onto Rooiels, PringleBay, Bettysbay and Kleinmond. At Kleimond we stopped and grabbed some cooldrinks and strolled through the town.&nbsp; Then it was onto Hermanus, past <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westerncapehotelandspa.co.za\/\">Arrabella Golf Estate<\/a> and Onrus onto Hermanus.<\/p>\n<p>We again stopped in Hermanus and strolled through the town.&nbsp; It was packed and we battled to get parking.&nbsp; This must be one of the restaurants that is the closest I have ever seen to the water edge.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marius.za.net\/blog\/images\/WateredgeRest.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">For all you Harley lovers, <\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marius.za.net\/blog\/images\/Motorcycle.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">This was one of about 15 Harleys and all of them exactly the same.<\/p>\n<p>On the way back from Hermanus we took the N2 and turned off at Grabou.&nbsp; Just before Velliersdorp we took the Franschoek turnoff and got this view of Franschoek.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 800px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marius.za.net\/blog\/images\/Franchoek.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Now tell me that we do not have some of the most beautyful countryside here in the Cape.&nbsp; This view is just amazing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Technorati Tags: <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/travel\" rel=\"tag\">travel<\/a>, <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/hermanus\" rel=\"tag\">hermanus<\/a>, <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/kleimond\" rel=\"tag\">kleimond<\/a>, <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/harley\" rel=\"tag\">harley<\/a>, <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/gordonsbay\" rel=\"tag\">gordonsbay<\/a>, <a class=\"performancingtags\" href=\"http:\/\/technorati.com\/tag\/franschoek\" rel=\"tag\">franschoek<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I am still on holiday, my son and I decided to explore some of the Western Cape&#8217;s beauty.
