{"id":7284,"date":"2011-06-12T09:04:20","date_gmt":"2011-06-12T07:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.henriska.com\/blog\/?p=7284"},"modified":"2011-06-12T09:04:20","modified_gmt":"2011-06-12T07:04:20","slug":"moving-to-fundamo-visa-exiting-times-ahead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.henriska.com\/blog\/2011\/06\/moving-to-fundamo-visa-exiting-times-ahead\/","title":{"rendered":"Moving to Fundamo (Visa) &#8211; exiting times ahead."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.henriska.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/fundamo-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" \/>A while ago I blocked about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.henriska.com\/blog\/?p=7243\">working for a specific company<\/a> and that reality has come true. &nbsp;At that point it was just <a href=\"http:\/\/fundamo.com\/\">Fundamo<\/a> (a fairly small South African company) that operates in the mobile banking space. &nbsp;I worked for them 10 years ago when they were a real startup tucked away in some corner of the S<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanlam.co.za\/\">anlam Headoffice<\/a> building. &nbsp;It was always my idea to return to them in some way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.henriska.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Visa-Logo1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" \/>On 1 July 2011 I will be joining them as a Project Manager supporting one of their big customers at a office that is less than 3 km from my home. &nbsp;I will be joining a company that I have a lot of respect for and also a lot of friends at .. it is like returning home. &nbsp;Never in my wildest dreams did I even contemplate that I would be joining a much bigger company called <a href=\"http:\/\/corporate.visa.com\/index.shtml\">Visa<\/a> .. if you did not hear,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/corporate.visa.com\/media-center\/press-releases\/press1128.jsp\">Fundamo was bought by Visa<\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving IBM last year, I spend some time as a hourly contractor working on a very interesting and technolgy advance project at Old Mutual. &nbsp;It was great working there and the team was great (one of the best I have worked with) but when the opprotunity came knocking to join Fundamo (Visa), I had to grab with both hands.
