I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and for a while now whenever I start Ovi Maps, it switches off the phone. This started when I had Ovi Maps 2. I upgraded to Ovi Maps 3 (the latest version) and also upgraded the phone firmware to version 31. Firmware version 40 is not available in my country.
When I run on battery power the phone switches off almost immediately. Actually just after it ask whether it should go online. Make no difference whether I answer yes or no. When it is plugged into power, it sometimes take a while before it switches off.
I have Googled and searched but could not find any solutions anywhere. Anybody reading here have any suggestions?

I’ve observed my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic cell to be the best overall I have owned. Just desire it had a slide out qwerty keyboard! Anyway, it doesn’t so ample is more than enough. A good deal of folks whine concerning the camera, it does suck, but it is not that critical to me-I have a great Canon SD950 camera if I want pics. I am actually please with how customizable it’s and all of the items I can perform with it. Needs charging almost every day when employed a fair bit. Considering about debranding it. Rogers (Canada) keeps issues very locked down as well as the greatest fw I are already able to upgrade to is v30 (something like that can’t don’t forget the exact variety in the moment). Sounds like v40 has some great capabilities I am missing out on.Well, glad I found this forum, I hope to study a whole lot more about what I can do with my cell phone.
